A Good Idea
A couple of thoughts on fairy gardens, creativity and feeling like a person by my internet friend Dawn L Wright
“Making art helps me get centered and clear. It gives a thing for my body to do while my brain and heart and spirit sort and process and synthesize.
By thinking about nothing, I’m thinking about everything. I lose myself in creating and come out the other side rested and awake and more myself.
Its like yoga or meditation or prayer.
Inspired by my sister, I made a little milk carton fairy house from things around the yard.
Felt good to lose myself in something for a bit. And to add some whimsy to 2020.
I want to plant some small flowers on the left and maybe a ground cover behind the fence.
My husband suggested a car for the gravel, but the dogs keep stealing things out of the planter, so we have to play that by ear.
These are intense days, friends, hope you are finding your restorative activities that help you feel like a person. What is your thing? Walks by the ocean? Coloring pages? Weight lifting?”

A Good Read
It wasn’t love at first sight for Chip and me. For one thing, I was typically attracted to guys who were more on the quiet side. Based on our first date, it was clear that Chip was anything but quiet. He was all over the place, talking about the businesses he’d started, and these ideas he had, and how he was buying up little houses and flipping them, and I was wondering if he was just a bit crazy.
