The Things That Grow

April 7, 2017April 29, 2017 ~ traceyatwaterintowine ~ 9 Comments

This post written for Women Connect. You can find out all about that here . You know I’m always amazed by what grows and what doesn’t grow in my garden. Wild and overgrown for the most part yet its a constant source of inspiration to me. Not too long ago in my wandering around out there … Continue reading The Things That Grow

All In

November 16, 2016January 27, 2018 ~ traceyatwaterintowine ~ 7 Comments

Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life - - - Psalm 23:6 Theres a little sign attached to a low red brick wall that I pass each morning as I walk the few blocks from my car to work. Im almost at work when I pass it, breathing … Continue reading All In

Woven with Gold

August 5, 2016December 22, 2019 ~ traceyatwaterintowine ~ 8 Comments

I read this earlier in the week: Perfect spaces, perfect people, perfect things - they are not real to me. Add a little wonkiness to a house, some mess to the waves of someone's hair or a few tell-tale signs of age on items and they become more interesting to me. And usually more beautiful.  … Continue reading Woven with Gold

One For The Weary

November 20, 2015April 29, 2017 ~ traceyatwaterintowine ~ 12 Comments

For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.” Jeremiah 31:25 Weary, languishing? I think  we’re all feeling it about this time of the year and Christmas!! Ugh I feel tired just thinking about it. I know I'm not meant to say that out loud, I do love it, but goodness … Continue reading One For The Weary

Five Minute Friday – Joy

October 27, 2015July 25, 2018 ~ traceyatwaterintowine ~ 6 Comments

Five Minute Friday  = prompt word, five minutes, just write. This weeks prompt word: JOY – – – weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5 For years it wasn't a word in my vocabulary. Not that I was unhappy all the time but "joy" - a feeling of … Continue reading Five Minute Friday – Joy

A Simple Kind of Wonderful

October 14, 2015January 20, 2017 ~ traceyatwaterintowine ~ 13 Comments

Everything is beautiful in its time Ecclesiastes 3:11 Life get’s all sorts of complicated doesn’t it. Even with our best efforts, complications and chaos are business as usual more often than not. Yet they have a way of revealing what's really important. They have a way of showing us how very little in the end we … Continue reading A Simple Kind of Wonderful

Simple Hospitality and Other Non Events

September 16, 2015August 5, 2019 ~ traceyatwaterintowine ~ 24 Comments

So happy to be rounding the corner of the seasons and  seeing spring on the horizon. Spring seems so full of possibility and opportunity but I like how the cold isn't quite finished with us yet  - cardigan weather I call it. Warmer in the day but still chilly at night so if you go … Continue reading Simple Hospitality and Other Non Events

Curly, also called Curlius Maximus, Mr Metrop and Curyee (before Liv could pronounce L), faithful friend and companion, our very own piddling Pete, our sock eating sweet natured, all round happy camper, so dear to our hearts and so loved, passed away Thursday night. He was 15 years old. He came to us a puppy when Ethan (his person) turned three and he has been light and joy to Eth and Olivia’s childhood ever since. So many stories, so much fun, such a precious part of our family. So hard to say goodbye. Not sure what we’ll do without you Curly. You brought us so much joy xx
