A week in the woods has a way of making you grateful for life’s modern conveniences such as brick walls and amenities just a quick warm walk down the hallway ▫️ It’s beautiful being out in the bush - we’ve made this mid winter trek for a few years now but it always takes a day or two to let go enough to really start enjoying it. We’re all a bit grumpy at first with no wifi or Netflix or take away coffee but then the sky and the trees and fresh air start working their wonders and I find myself relaxing into it ▫️ Then the freak winds started ▫️ We had three nights of what felt like 3000km winds. Must say caravan may not be the most glamorous of specimens but it handled the freakish winds without drama. We on the other hand were a little frazzled. I needed a stop off in Berry on the way back. Kids were none too happy about but a trip to the @berrydonutvan calmed there frayed nerves. A trip to @havenandspace and yellow stems calmed mine ▫️ Another lovely thing about being away is that in coming home you get this tiny glimpse of your home through fresh eyes. You notice the undone sure but you notice it’s lovelies too.
