April already and I was just getting into the swing of March – you too? So to celebrate the month just gone here are a few favourite things I enjoyed in March. But firstly – – –
Happy Easter – hope you are enjoying a beautiful Easter Weekend. Easter is one of my favourite times of the year. Somehow it just seems slower and there’s a beautiful reverence about. I like it’s hushed tones. It get’s colder around these parts too – the weather itself seems to quiet things down- raining here all weekend but then how often is Easter Sunday – like yesterday – a sparkling, glorious, resplendent day that shouts the resurrection of Christ, that celebrates His life and goodness and reminds us we have not been left alone – that we are not forsaken.
“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” ~ Hebrews 12:2-3
Yesterday we were so happy to witness a friend’s beautiful girl get water baptised. Such a perfect day for it.
And yes thats my boy fully clothed in the water – (not quite as murky as it looks in the photo) front and centre so as not to miss a thing !!

So now to my favourite things from March.
Best House Shaped Post
This one’s an oldie but a goodie that was recently reposted on how to “quiet the house”. I’m in the process of doing this with my back room http://www.thenester.com/2011/05/how-to-edit.html

About friendship, a forever favourite topic of mine. On Being a Soft Place to Land
Best Nest
I really like this one. It’s not a “rip everything out and start again” type makeover – (how often do we get to do that !!) – its a “make the most of what you have” type of makeover and somehow that works for me. Pretty colours and lots of cleverness http://www.larkandlola.com/2014/12/lark-lola-house-kitchen-makeover-before.html
And one more favourite
Soft and Succulent – I loooove a pretty succulent, they would be my favourite things to grow in pots. My sister Jen has a way of planting them up in such lovely ways – here’s a few photos – so eye catching.
My best tip for growing succulents – break off a piece – if you can get a small piece with a few tiny roots attached even better – shove it in some potting mix and just see what happens. However if you would like some more expert advice you can go to http://www.homelife.com.au/gardening/how+to+grow/how+to+grow+succulents,4706
